My love for embroidery started with my time I spent with my grandmother, "Mammie" as a little girl. My grandmother's generation only had Aunt Martha's patterns to go by and the stitches were very basic. I still have many of my grandmother’s hand-stitched kitchen towels which I cherish! She also passed down her vintage hot iron transfer designs from Aunt Martha! Today I have been introduced to a variety of embroidery techniques. I create every design by hand so no two designs are ever exactly the same. Since I do all my embroidery, your order might take a week or more to complete stitch by stitch! This year, I'm excited to add to my line textiles made from natural organic linens from Lithuania. Lithuania linen fabrics are so soft and the more they are washed, the softer they become.
I love to spend time with my grandchildren. I have four granddaughters and one grandson. I love introducing my love of embroidery to them. If you are interested in your children, grandchildren or yourself learning to embroider, just reach out. If you have a particular design in mind, send me a note! It's so easy to beautify your home when you discover embroidery!
